The Chamber luncheon this Thursday, October 21 will feature a Workforce Housing Panel Discussion. The event is being held at Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Myers-Estero, located at 10450 Corkscrew Commons Drive in Estero, from 11:30AM-1:00PM.

Attendees will hear from a panel of guest speakers, including Becky Lucas, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties, Phillip Ford, executive vice president of the Lee Building Industry Association, Shannon Lane, director of Choice Neighborhoods Initiative for the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers, and Jennifer Warner, director of economic development for Florida Realtors. The panel will be moderated by John Talmage, director of the Lee County Economic Development Office.

This event is hosted in partnership with the Lee Chapter of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA). Admission is $25 for members of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber or FRLA and $35 for future members. Limited seating is available, and attendees must register in advance.

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business Committee will offer valuable insight on local pet adoption during its adoption awareness networking event on Wednesday, November 3 at Bell Tower in Fort Myers.

The Women in Business program will showcase Gulf Coast Humane Society and its more than 70 years of animal welfare efforts in Southwest Florida. Gulf Coast Humane Society, which is also the program’s nonprofit spotlight, provides humane care for surrendered animals by offering refuge, medical care and a second chance at finding permanent, adoptable homes.

During the adoption awareness event, attendees will have an opportunity to meet local adoptable dogs, sip on cold refreshments and network with fellow business professionals. The networking event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bell Tower, located at 13499 S. Cleveland Ave., Suite 161, in Fort Myers. This month’s program is hosted by Bell Tower and sponsored by Collins Vision.
