As we approach Thanksgiving, it’s a wonderful time to reflect on the importance of gratitude and positivity in our lives. Here at Willowcreek, we encourage families to use this season as an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with your students about what it means to be grateful. Research shows that focusing on gratitude can improve overall well-being and foster a positive outlook, which is especially important during the formative middle school years. Consider asking your child what they are thankful for, or perhaps start a family gratitude journal where everyone can write down one thing they appreciate each day. Acts of gratitude, whether big or small, can strengthen family bonds and set a positive tone for the holiday season and beyond. Let’s celebrate this season of thankfulness together and nurture an environment of positivity in our students' lives!
Wishing you a warm and grateful Thanksgiving,
Willowcreek Counseling Department.
