This annual exhibition explores the different ways in which teens sought out joy amidst the chaos of 2020. The Teen Arts Council is a partnership between the Everson and teens from local school districts, offering a safe platform for teens to share their voice, work with their peers, work on professional development, and engage with the greater community.

Strike a Pose! Portrait Activity

Portraits are images of a single person or group of people. Look at this portrait from the Everson’s collection and think about what it tells us about this person? What is their mood? How can you tell? What can you guess based on this person's clothing and the setting? Now it’s time to make your own portrait using materials you can find right at home. Take a photograph of a person at home or use a pencil, marker, crayon, or whatever you have at home to create a drawing. Click below to learn more.

Beyond the Blue

On view through November 21, 2021

After more than a year of COVID-19 isolation, the Everson Museum is grateful to shake off the blues by exhibiting life-affirming works from the permanent collection that are filled with joy, humor, and above all, color. Beyond the Blue is presented in collaboration with Art Macao 2021. In addition to a physical exhibition at the Everson, these works will be shared digitally with millions of visitors to Art Macao, an international art festival presented in museums, hotels, and other popular tourist destinations near Hong Kong.
