You may find that you do not need all of the money the government is requiring you to take. You can lower your taxable income by using some of it to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). This allows individuals age 70½ and older to make direct transfers from your IRA to 501(c)(3) charities such as the Tallahassee Senior Citizens Foundation. Talk with your IRA administrator.
It’s a win-win! Reduce your tax bill
while supporting the good work we do at the Senior Center!
