Dear TSC Participants & Friends,

With awareness of the recent increase in COVID cases and hospitalizations, as part of the City of Tallahassee, we are following the guidelines.
We request that everyone participating in TSC programs follow these guidelines:
a.     Wear a mask, except when actively participating in fitness or a sport.
b.     Practice social distancing.
c.     Do not attend an activity if you are sick or have symptoms which include a fever, cough and shortness of breath.
d.     Wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face.

If you test positive for COVID-19 and have attended a TSC activity within the past 14 days, please notify the instructor or a TSC staff person ASAP. TSC staff will notify others in the class to the best of our ability. Thus, it is imperative that everyone scan or sign in for every session.

If you think you have been Exposed to COVID-19 which, according to the CDC, means in close contact with a person (within approximately six feet) with a symptomatic lab-confirmed COVID-19 case for a prolonged period of time (usually more than 15 minutes), please refer to these actions:
Fully vaccinated individuals:
·       No quarantine requirement
·       Is recommended to get tested 3-5 days after exposure.
·       Must continue to monitor for symptoms
Unvaccinated individuals:
·       Must quarantine as described below and may not attend a TSC activity until the following criteria is met:
o   With testing: Quarantine for seven (7) days after the last contact with the individual testing positive for COVID-19 and receive a negative COVID-19 test (test must occur on day 5 or later after the exposure). You may return after receiving a negative COVID-19 test and following 7 days.
o   Without testing: Quarantine for 14 days after the last contact with the individual testing positive for COVID-19. You may return after 14 days.
·       If you have symptoms – do not attend a class or activity.

Thank you for following these guidelines in the best interest of trying to keep everyone as safe as possible, and maintain a healthy environment at the TSC and our program sites.

Take care & stay safe,
Sheila Salyer
Senior Services Manager/Executive Director

There is a Chinese proverb that says “If a family has an old person in it,
it possesses a jewel.”

At the Tallahassee Senior Center we see these folks every day participating in art classes, our Life Long Learning program, fitness classes, and so much more. We meet our mission to keep seniors in our community active and engaged because of the generosity of our supporters. The dollars given to our foundation enable us to offer the programs and classes enjoyed by our participants.

There is a simple way for you to make a powerful impact and put a sparkle in the lives of seniors. We invite you to join our GEM (Give Every Month) club. The sign up is easy and the amount you choose will be donated to our foundation. Your donation is a precious gift to our Senior community.
Checks can be mailed to:
TSC Foundation, 1400 N. Monroe St., Tallahassee, FL, 32303

Donations and membership are tax deductible.
The TSC Foundation generates funding to support programs,
services and participants of Tallahassee Senior Services.
