Capital Medical Society Alliance Holiday Card Fundraiser

Dear CMSA Members and Fellow Physician Families:

We are pleased to announce that our Holiday Card Fundraiser for 2024 is in progress. We launched this fundraiser for the first time in 2021. Since then, each year we have raised thousands of dollars with more than 50 member contributions. We hope that you will join us in giving generously once again so that we can continue our philanthropic efforts in the community. This year's fundraiser will benefit Refuge House by helping to fulfill two of their needs: 1) New mulch for the children’s playground at the Leon County Emergency Shelter and 2) New metal wheelchair ramps for the Refuge House Sexual Violence Office and Domestic Violence Counseling Office in Tallahassee.

The process is easy and convenient for medical families. We are asking for a donation of any amount between now and Friday, November 1, 2024. In December, we will send a holiday greeting card to all CMSA members and local medical families. The holiday card will list the names of those who have contributed to the fundraiser this year. It will not list any contribution amounts.

To contribute:

1. You may donate online at PayPal.me/TallyCMSA - Press "Send," enter your donation amount, and type "CMSA Fundraiser" in the notes section. Please also type your name as you would like it to appear in the holiday card.

2. You may mail a check payable to CMSA to Michelle Reyes, 2138 La Rochelle Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32308.

We hope that you will consider donating to our Holiday Card Fundraiser this month. Thank you to those who have already contributed. We appreciate your support and encouragement.

Warmly,

Michelle Reyes with the Holiday Card Committee and the CMSA Executive Board for 2024

Here's Another Connection for CMS Members: Healthcare Lawyer On Call
The CMS has had a long-standing relationship with Jeff Cohen and The Florida Healthcare Law Firm. Did you know that you can tap into a program called Healthcare Lawyer On Call through Jeff and his firm? That's right! On-Call is different than what you may be used to and doesn't mean that you'll find an attorney at 3 AM to answer a question, but what it does mean is that you can call and speak with someone at The Florida Healthcare Law Firm for 15 minutes at no charge! Please remember that any purely verbal discussion on legal matters is simply the lawyer’s best (and unconfirmed) understanding. Another benefit of being a CMS member!
