Rainforest Pitch Competition


Anderson hosted the final round of UNM's Rainforest Pitch Competition at Bow and Arrow Brewery, Wednesday, Nov. 8. This entrepreneurial-focused competition is open to all university students. The fall semester's final round featured 10 teams presenting their business ideas in 90 seconds. Three teams secured the top honors. The Campus Park team won the top award of People's Choice award, winning $1,000. The Judge's Choice award winners were two teams from our Japanese partnership school, Yamanashi Gakuin University. They were FAM Passport and Nailykey. Both teams received $950.


The remaining seven teams, which included DentaFresh, getUP Apparel, The Passion Project, @Tiwalands, Rominium Tech, PocDoc, and Wolczix, each secured a prize of $300.

Facilitated Internships


Facilitated Internships are supervised, structured learning experiences in a professional setting that allow students to gain valuable work experience. They are stipend based and facilitated through Anderson. Stipends are distributed through student UNM Bursar accounts. Students earn three credit hours and must complete at least 160 hours (typically, at least 10 hours per week during fall / spring and 20 hours per week during summer).


Facilitated Internships are available for undergraduate and graduate students.

Doing an internship this semester?

Earn credit, too!


Students can receive three hours of free elective credit while completing an internship. Free elective credit can apply toward remaining electives you need complete your degree program. 


To have your internship approved for free elective credit, please complete an approval form. Be sure to include as much detail as possible such as anticipated start date, employer, and duties and responsibilities.
