The much-anticipated celebration day is quickly approaching. Here is some helpful information:


  1. As a token of appreciation for your hard work, Anderson Advisement will be handing out cords for all BBA graduates and stoles for all master graduates. They are free and can be worn during the ceremony as a distinction as an Anderson graduate.
  2. The ceremony will be recorded and posted online afterward for all to share and view with family members.
  3. Keep an eye on your email at the end of this week for a comprehensive email containing all the essential details you need to know about the ceremony from logistical information to marching directions during the ceremony.

UNM Anderson Win Scholarships to Attend 

National Accounting Conference

Kevin Crown, a third-year undergraduate accounting major at Anderson, recently received the Wild West Council Student Leadership Conference Scholarship. Beating out candidates from across the Southwest, Crown was awarded funding to attend last month’s Institute of Management Accountants Conference in Detroit. In addition, three other Anderson students received IMA scholarships. Seniors Christopher Baca, Reece Davis and Allyssa Dean were awarded funding by IMA that covered their conference registration fees.

Spring 2024 Facilitated Internship Opportunities with PNM Resources


PNM is currently accepting applications for several internship positions for the Spring 2024 semester – these positions are open to both undergraduate and graduate students. View the flyer to see available positions and to apply.

Facilitated Internships


Facilitated Internships are supervised, structured learning experiences in a professional setting that allow students to gain valuable work experience. They are stipend based and facilitated through Anderson. Stipends are distributed through student UNM Bursar accounts. Students earn three credit hours and must complete at least 160 hours (typically, at least 10 hours per week fall / spring and 20 hours per week summer).


Facilitated Internships are available for undergraduate and graduate students.

Once you submit an application, your materials will be sent to the respective employer’s hiring contacts. You’re welcome to apply for multiple opportunities; however, you need to submit a separate form for each internship you are interested in.

Earn credit, too!


Students can receive three hours of free elective credit while completing an internship. Free elective credit can apply toward remaining electives you need complete your degree program. 


To have your internship approved for free elective credit, please complete an approval form. Be sure to include as much detail as possible such as anticipated start date, employer, and duties and responsibilities.
