Catholic Health Community Bus @ Moriches

Friday, 1/10, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM


Catholic Health's Community Outreach Mobile Clinical Unit provides free health screenings and a brief cardiac history for those 18 and older—including blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose—as well as patient education and referrals as needed. The hours are generally from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. No appointments are necessary. Insurance is not required and there are no fees.

Pet a therapy dog, color, stretch and listen to some calming music with Ms. Currao (Special Education teacher at WFHS), Nick Nappi (Program Manager) with also be there. This program is for those with special needs in grades 6 through 12.

Make your vision a reality and learn about the wellness benefits of visualization, goal setting, positive self-talk and a future-orientation while you create your own vision board.

Presented by: Healing Arts with Stony Brook University Creativity in any form can help us relax & de-stress - research has shown that regardless of skill level, making art reduces the level of stress hormones like cortisol in the body. Stony Brook's Healing Arts events pair a wellness theme with creative projects to help people develop effective coping strategies and illustrate that crafting & creating are not only fun, they are key aspects of emotional & psychological wellness.
