This Week in Church
Worship 10:30 a.m.

"Am I a God near by, says the          Lord,  and not a God far off?"

                             - Jeremiah 23:23

Where is God? Closer than you might think!  Created by God, in God's image, God continues to work in the world today.  Where?  Often in the bleakest, most desperate places of war, famine, and political unrest.  How?  Maybe through you!

Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services is one of 10 national agenciesthat resettle refugees fleeing war and persecution on behalf of the U.S. government.
Did you know that Christ's Lutheran Church once helped to resettle refugees from Vietnam?  Learn more about LIRS at LIRS

Also this week, we welcome Pastor Ed Schreiber of Atonement, Saugerties as a guest preacher/presider.

For Kids: "Davey and Goliath"

Children ages 3 - 3rd grade are invited to exit worship after the gathering to watch a Davey and Goliath video in the downstairs Sunday School Room.  A light snack will be provided.  Children will rejoin worship following the sermon and prayers.

"Davey and Goliath" is a stop-motion cartoon produced by the Lutheran Church in America in the 1960's and 70's.  It's solid message about God and our relationship with God has stood the test of time, making it a favorite with parents and kids alike!
