One Day Oil Painting Seminar

About the artist:
Sandra Lowe is a local artist and skilled teacher. Join her for a day of fun as she presents a one-day class in oil on executing the finer points of creating a beautiful landscape. Sandra specializes in presenting the art of oil painting to beginning and intermediate level painters and helps students open new doors to art techniques and fundamentals.
Sandra has taught many one-day seminars and is also an accomplished commissioned portrait artist. Please join her for the day.
(The teacher is highly allergic to perfume, so please refrain from wearing any the day of your class.)

 Do you have a new laptop or iPad? Do you need help in discovering how to navigate through your new device? Sign up for one of the one hour small group sessions. The sessions will be held at 10AM and 12 noon each Tuesday through December 4th at the Community Center in the Arts & Crafts Room. Each session is $10.00. Golf
The following courses will be closed during Thanksgiving Week:
Thursday, November 22nd -- Stonehenge Golf Club
Sunday, November 25th -- Stonehenge Golf Club
Sunday, November 25th -- Druid Hills Golf Club
We will have a 9:30 shotgun start at both Druid Hills and the Crag on Thanksgiving Day. If you are interested in playing, please give Central Tee Times a call and get your name on the list. At the time you make your reservation let them know if you are planning on playing 9 or 18 holes.We will have a Thanksgiving Sale over Thanksgiving Weekend at all the golf shops. All merchandise will be 30% OFF. This sale will be from Thursday, November 22 through Sunday, November 25. Please remember this is for in stock merchandise only and not all golf shops will be open all the days of the sale. Winter rates will go into effect December 1st and last through March 31, 2013. The preferred rate will be $24.00, the member rate will be $30.00 and the guest rate will be $35.00. All rates include green fee, cart fee and sales tax.
The 2013 Golf Calendars are on sale now at Druid Hills. This year's calendar is still $20.00 and has coupons worth over $150.00 with it.

Innovative Learning Center
 INNOVATION AND IMAGINATION are the new buzz words used to describe the Arts and Crafts Room. For years we have only used this room to work with children and adults as they painted ceramics and wooden projects. You have asked for more and we listened.
Imagine, if you will, a glass bottle that becomes a night light. A little more innovative creativity can turn an upside down tomato cage and some grape vine into an angel for your garden, halo included of course. Beginning this month and over the course of this winter, we are going to offer some totally new types of learning opportunities for you. We will have Internet labs, navigating through your laptop or iPad learning sessions, a doggie manners class, scrapbooking with mixed media and oil painting, to name just a few. Of course, during the seasonal busy times, we will continue to ensure our younger guests have the same "good times" they have always had.
We at the center hope you will accept this as our personal invitation to come and spend some time with us creating a wonderful project, or sign up for a future class. We promise a fun time full of learning, laughter and smiles.
