The Haunted Paths of Rockwood - closes on Halloween
The twists and bends of Rockwood’s 170-year-old garden paths are lit with dramatic lighting for the haunted holiday. Joseph Shipley built the important six-acre English-style garden to surround the quintessentially spooktacular Gothic Revival mansion. The mature arbor frames the wicked peaks of the house’s roofline to inspire frightening feelings of natural awe. Take a stroll - if you dare - and enjoy Rockwood’s Heritage Garden at night! FREE

Mayhem and Mystery at Rockwood Park. Can You Solve the Mystery?
An outdoor scavenger hunt for Junior Sleuths to find stolen antiquities. We need your help to catch one of the infamous murder mystery game characters stealing valuables from the priceless Shipley Family art collection. Follow the leads, discover secret locations of this grand estate, and catch the thief red-handed. Did Professor Plum steal the antique vase and get caught in the Gazebo? Did Mrs. White snatch the painting and get caught in the Apothecary Garden? Groups (excellent for families) will have the opportunity to search several outside locations to discover whodunnit after viewing the "scene of the crime." The game starts inside the museum but all clues are found outdoors-dress appropriately. The tour involves walking on some small hills.
