Art is a Welcome Alternative at the OC Fair

After a year and a half when the persistent coronavirus pandemic shut down nearly every live event, the OC Fair is back — and so is visual art at the fair.

The Visual Art Gallery is housed in the comfortable, air-conditioned Los Alamitos building on the southeast end of the Main Mall. It’s clean, quiet and contemplative, and can be a welcome respite from the heat, the crowds and the smoke emanating from various barbecues and grilling stands.

'Beyond Van Gogh' in Anaheim Takes Visitors Inside the Painter's Artworks

While the state of California is re-opened, the Delta variant of COVID-19 has caused a recent rise in infections and hospitalizations everywhere. Los Angeles has re-imposed a mask mandate for indoor businesses; Orange County has not yet followed suit but guidelines continue to evolve. Arts Orange County is proud to celebrate the return of gathering to enjoy the arts, but we strongly advise reviewing the individual rules for arts venues you plan to visit. We will continue to recommend a variety of both in-person and virtual ways to bring the arts into your life.
