Mar-a-Lago Roadblock
The President is in Town from Friday through Sunday. Roadblocks went up at 5 AM Friday morning around Mar-a-Lago, closing A1A (Ocean Blvd.). Heads of state from five Caribbean countries are meeting with the President so be prepared for unannounced traffic interruptions from motorcades.

Caribbean Leaders to Meet President at Mar-a-Lago on Friday
More international summitry is coming to Mar-a-Lago. The White House announced late Tuesday that President Donald Trump will meet Friday at his Palm Beach estate with leaders of The Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica and Saint Lucia.

Danielle Moore Remains Palm Beach Town Council President

In front of about 100 people, the Palm Beach Town Council re-elected Danielle Moore as president and Margaret Zeidman as president pro tem on Tuesday. Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Lisa Small also swore in Julie Araskog, Ms. Moore and Mayor Gail Coniglio to new terms on the council.
Palm Beach Sets April Meeting 
to Discuss Pay, Benefits
for Town Employees

The Town Council has set an April 4 meeting to focus on ways to boost employee pay and benefits to make Palm Beach more competitive with other public employers in the local market.
The meeting was initially set for April 5th, but was move to April 4th at 10:30 AM.
The council had planned the meeting for April 1, but decided Tuesday it needs a few extra days after hearing highlights of a consultant's 80-page report, which is full of statistical charts comparing the town to 26 other municipalities and other public employers in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

Repainted in 2022
Royal Park Bridge
The Royal Park Bridge will get a fresh coat of paint in three years, the Florida Department of Transportation said. The removal and replacement of the existing paint is scheduled for the spring and summer of 2022.

Palm Beach Residents Want Town to Turn Down New Bright Lights in Neighborhood
Residents in some areas of the far North End have been urging the town to turn off their street lights so they can sleep better at night. New LED street lights, installed six weeks ago, are much whiter and brighter than the halogen lights they replaced.

Palm Beach's Green Initiative - its effort to cease using herbicides and pesticides on public properties - is marching forward. The Town Council's Public Works Committee, made up of Towncouncil members Maggie Zeidman and Bobbie Lindsay, its chairwoman, heard a progress report at its meeting this week.
