Brandeis Community Opportunities
Apply to be a Volunteer Coordinator for Spring Wellness Drive!
We are looking for new volunteer coordinators for this semester’s Spring Wellness Drive! The drive conducts a community-wide event that collects food, clothing, and/or personal care products (items like soap, razors, tampons, etc.) for those experiencing poverty in Waltham and the Greater Boston Area.The drive coordinators will help over the course of a month in creating this event!

Paid Social Justice internships exclusively for Brandeis students! 
Due Wednesday, February 26th

Hiatt has secured summer internships with several social justice organizations. Each site has reserved a slot, exclusively for a Brandeis student. Plus, they all come with a $4500 stipend as part of the World of Work (WOW) program.

Want to spend a Thursday night dancing, chatting, and hanging out with some older adults living in Waltham? Companions to Elders and Community Connections are hosting a one time event, a dance for the senior residents of an independent living facility we volunteer at. We’re looking for lively and friendly volunteers to attend, especially current and former volunteers and Chinese speakers! Transportation will be provided to prom, and there will be a mandatory pre-prom meeting on February 25th at 8pm.

PAID Community Engagement Ambassador in Department of Community Service
As part of a prestigious leadership cohort, four selected Community Engagement Ambassadors will work with Department of Community Service staff to build the capacity of all Brandeis community service clubs and will receive $12.75 per hour ($2,000 for the academic year). Ambassadors will be challenged to think creatively about ways to engage Brandeis students from all backgrounds in community service initiatives, to engage in strategic planning that supports community engagement, and to learn new leadership skills, including project management systems and tools that increase effectiveness in groups. Learn more by visiting the DCS  website here The application deadline is Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 11:59pm. Questions? Volunteer with Afternoon Enrichment!

Thursdays 3-5 pm

Afternoon Enrichment is a Waltham Group program works with the local middle schools every Thursday 3-5 pm. It is a great opportunity to get experience working with kids, as every program involves a group activity, followed by one-on-one tutoring. Get involved by emailing Afternoon Enrichment !

Congressional Campaign Intern Opportunity with an Brandeis Alum

Join an exciting team working to elect a Democrat to Congress in NY-17. We're looking for a group of college interns to be a part of an intensive field program in Westchester and Rockland Counties. In-person and remote positions are available.

Requirements:
No prior campaign experience necessary, open to entry-level candidates with enthusiasm to work on an exciting campaign!
Strong interpersonal and communications skills are necessary
Ability to work nights and weekends

The United Nations Academic Impact and MCN proudly present the Millennium Fellowship . This program convenes, challenges, and celebrates bold student leadership advancing the Sustainable Development Goals on campus and in communities. As a Millennium Fellow, you will hone skills, take concrete action, and earn a certificate of recognition from United Nations Academic Impact and MCN. There is no cost for selected students.

Undergraduate leaders should apply as soon as possible (rolling admissions through April 30th with early applications strongly encouraged, Class of 2020 will run August-December 2020).
