Apply to be a Bridges to Wellness Peer Educator
Interested in becoming a peer educator? The BTW: Bridge to Wellness application is now live on the student employment website. Help educate and empower students to prioritize well-being and practice healthy decision making. The deadline to apply is February 15th. Please reach out to  [email protected]  with any questions.
Apply to be a Volunteer Coordinator for the Spring Wellness Drive!
We are looking for new volunteer coordinators for this semester’s Spring Wellness Drive! The drive conducts a community-wide event that collects food, clothing, and/or personal care products (items like soap, razors, tampons, etc.) for those experiencing poverty in Waltham and the Greater Boston Area. The drive coordinators will help over the course of a month in creating this event! Applications are due by Saturday, February 22, 2020.

Volunteer with the Brandeis Food Pantry
The Brandeis Food Pantry is seeking student volunteers to assist with our activities, 4 hours commitment in a month is typically required. We provide free, on-campus access to healthy food options and other non-perishable items, volunteers are crucial to our operations. Branvan certification/US driver’s license is a plus but not required, as volunteers sometimes support with donation and food pick-ups at the Greater Boston Food Bank and other locations locally. Community Forum on Climate Change
Feb. 24th, 4 pm
International Lounge

What should Brandeis’ role and responsibility be in the face of the climate crisis?
What do you see as within Brandeis’ power to do to act on climate change and climate justice?
What recommendations would you make to the President and the administration about climate change and climate justice?
 
This event will be part panel discussion and part open forum. The
goals are to engage the campus in a discussion about these central questions, and gather community feedback, to directly inform Brandeis' forthcoming  climate action plan

Attendees will also be able to contribute to a participatory art project on the topic.
Open to the Brandeis community.
Snacks will be served.

Want to spend a Thursday night dancing, chatting, and hanging out with some older adults living in Waltham? Companions to Elders and Community Connections are hosting a one time event, a dance for the senior residents of an independent living facility we volunteer at. We’re looking for lively and friendly volunteers to attend, especially current and former volunteers and Chinese speakers! Service Without Borders New Orleans April Trip Application
Wednesday, April 8 - Monday, April 14, 2020
New Orleans

We want YOU to join Service without Borders in New Orleans this April Break as we partner with Common Ground Relief, an organization dedicated to preserving the Louisiana Bayou and gulf coast. Common Ground Relief's mission is to create resilient Gulf Coast communities that are environmentally sustainable, financially viable and personally cohesive. Projects will include working in the plant nursery and planting in the gulf coast/marsh. 

For the students accepted on this trip, there will be informational and fundraising meetings, the dates of which are yet to be determined. There will be a fee for this trip; however, scholarships are available, and fundraising is expected.

Apply for Alumni Weekend 2020 (PAID position)!
June 3rd-7th

Alumni Weekend is an annual event in which 1000+ attendees (alumni and their families) come back to campus to celebrate a class reunion (the Class of 1955 will be celebrating their 65th Reunion this year!) or a reunion for a school, club, shared interest or organization. Check out the Alumni Weekend website for more information. The commitment for this year's Alumni Weekend is June 3rd - 7th, 2020.

Waltham Against Dementia
Applications due by Thursday, February 20, 2020

Waltham Against Dementia is looking for volunteers to work at Leland Nursing Home! This project will work directly with residents at Leland Nursing Home to observe care, and implement engaging and sustainable activities! Volunteers will learn more about Dementia care practice and nursing home care. People of all ages and experiences are welcome to apply using this link. Applications are due February 20th and will be evaluated on a first-come, first-serve basis. We are also looking to collect used iPods or music devices to be used by Leland residents.

Camp Summit is hiring Camp Counselors for Spring Break, Summer, and Fall

Camp Summit is a “sleep away" camp for children and adults with disabilities. With weeklong camp sessions, weekend sessions and respite days, campers are offered a wide variety of traditional camp activities in our barrier-free environment.

Waltham Connections for Healthy Aging is hiring a part-time Project Coordinator to set up a Waltham Senior Civics Academy, which will help seniors become more effective advocates, to develop the Civic Academy, the Project Coordinator will help Waltham Connections (1) create curriculum, and (2) reach out to Waltham elected officials, agency leaders, and diverse older adults to solicit their participation in the Academy.
