Visit the Knights of Columbus at 9901 Coastal Highway in Ocean City for an evening of steamed crabs and seafood entrees. The speaker at this month's meeting, held at the Ocean Pines Community Center, will be Kate Patton from the Lower Shore Land Trust. She will speak about pollinators and the current honey bee decline, including what plants can be used to attract bees to our gardens. New members and visitors are welcome.
July 13 - Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast / 8-11 a.m.
Find good food and pleasant company with the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines-Ocean City's pancake breakfast at the Ocean Pines Community Center. Pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and more. July 13 - Ocean Pines Anglers Club Meeting / 9:30 a.m.
The speaker at this month's meeting, held at the Ocean Pines library, will be champion fisherman Jim Short, winner of numerous bass fishing tournaments and charter member of the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame. Jim will speak on the effect of tides and currents on both fresh and saltwater fish. Updates will also be given on local fishing issues. All are welcome.
July 13 - Delmarva Chorus "Coffee, Tea and Aloha Harmony" / 7 p.m.
The Delmarva Chorus will host its annual fundraising event at the Ocean Pines Community Center. The chorus, under the direction of Carol Ludwig, has been volunteering their performances of a capella harmony for many years. Admission is a donation of $10, which includes coffee, tea, homemade baked goods, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, fun and more. This fun event benefits the critically ill children and their families served by Believe in Tomorrow. This scenic race course offers beautiful views of the beach and ocean as you run or walk over the Indian River Inlet Bridge. Sunset post-race party with food from the Big Chill Beach Club. August 3 - Pine'eer Craft Club Summer Artisan & Craft Fair / 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
This annual event is held outdoors and indoors in White Horse Park and the Ocean Pines Community Center. Local vendors and vendors from the surrounding states provide many crafted items for sale. Fish from the shore, bridge, pier or boat (private or charter) anywhere in Maryland or Delaware waters within 3 nautical miles from shore, bay or inland. Fish must be weighed in by 4 p.m. with awards immediately following at the Pines Point Marina, located at 869 Yacht Club Dr. $35 per person (2 or more, $30 each). Hosted by the Worcester County Department of Recreation and Parks, this summer program will help kids grades 6-12 become all-around better team athletes.
