Ocean Pines to Hold Official Opening for Golf Clubhouse
Ocean Pines will hold a brief ceremony to officially recognize the opening of the new Golf Clubhouse on Wednesday, June 17 at 9 a.m. The press and public are invited to attend.  Read more.
June 17 Candidate Forum to be Held Virtually
The 2020 Ocean Pines Board candidate forum scheduled for Wednesday, June 17 will be held virtually using Microsoft Teams. The forum is set to start at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. Read more.
OPA Board Candidates Provide Statements
Candidates for the 2020 Ocean Pines Board election were asked to submit both a brief statement introducing themselves to voters, and answers to three questions created by the Ocean Pines Elections Committee.  Read more.
Ocean Pines Announces Pool Reopenings
Ocean Pines’ outdoor pools will continue to open this week, with new procedures in place to comply with state and federal safety guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Read more.
Indoor Dining Resumes in Ocean Pines
Indoor dining, with some limitations, has resumed at all three Ocean Pines restaurants. Requirements of the new order include a 50% capacity cap, and safety measures based on CDC guidelines. Read more.
Playgrounds, Skate Park Now Open

Camp Ocean Pines Begins June 22
Camp Ocean Pines is scheduled to begin June 22. Information will be emailed this week to households with children already enrolled in camp. As camp spaces become available, the Recreation and Parks Department will call those names on the waitlist. Read more.

Outdoor Recreation Classes Begin

OPA 2020 Candidate Draw Results Announced
Candidate draw results were announced by the Ocean Pines Elections Committee on Friday. Results determine the order candidates will appear on the ballot and be seated during candidate forums. Read more.
Rain Barrel and Rain Garden Seminar Available Online
About 200 people tuned in live and nearly 500 had watched within the first 12 hours, as Ocean Pines and Jennifer Dindinger of the University of Maryland hosted a virtual seminar about rain barrels and rain gardens on Tuesday. Read more.
Comcast Update: June 15
Comcast this week continues to work on infrastructure in several areas of Ocean Pines. Additionally, residents in Sectors 1 and 2 are now eligible to sign up for service. Read more.

Board Candidate Registration Deadline Extended
The candidate registration deadline for the 2020 Board of Directors election has been extended to July 3. This year, two seats are available in the Board election, with the two highest vote-getters each earning a three-year term.  Read more.

The Pine'eer Artisan Gift Shop Now Open
The Pine'eer Artisan Gift Shop is now open Saturdays 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Masks are required, and only credit card payments are currently accepted. The shop is located in White Horse Park next to the Ocean Pines Administration Building.

Shepherd's Nook & Flea Market Open
The Shepherd's Nook and Flea Market at the Community Church at Ocean Pines and Sarah's Pantry are open. All facilities require that masks be worn inside. The Nook will be restricted to 8 customers entering at a time and the flea market will be limited to 5 customers at a time. The direct phone number for the Nook and Sarah's Pantry is 410-641-8392. Hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Wednesdays through June 17: Kiwanis Food Drive
The Kiwanis Club of Ocean Pines-Ocean City is collecting non-perishable food donations for Diakonia's food bank Wednesdays through June 17 from 10 a.m. to noon. Kiwanis vehicles will be in the Ocean Pines Community Center parking lot outside the Assateague Room. Volunteers will be wearing masks.
