Choptank Electric Outage Planned
Choptank Electric Cooperative has scheduled a planned outage in the Ocean Pines area on Tuesday, June 23 from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. so crews can complete upgrades to the system. The outage will affect 175 members. Read more.
Special Board Meeting June 23
The Ocean Pines Board of Directors will hold a virtual special meeting on Tuesday, June 23, starting at 6 p.m. Board members will use Microsoft Teams to conduct the meeting.  Read more.

Ravens Roost #44 Announces 2020 Scholarship Winners
Although Ravens Roost #44 of Ocean City was unable to host its 23rd annual golf scholarship fundraiser at Ocean Pines Golf Club this year, it still presented six Scholar/Athlete awards to students at three area high schools. Read more.
Anglers Club Asking for Help in Improving Local Catch Data
Members of the Ocean Pines Anglers Club are asking local anglers to log and submit their catch data, to help improve statistics that govern recreational fishing. Read more.
Face Shields Donated to Ocean Pines Police
The Bank of Ocean City has provided full face shields to Ocean Pines and other local police departments. The face shields were purchased from Hardwire, a manufacturer of protective armor headquartered in Pocomoke City, Maryland. Read more.
Comcast Update: June 22
Comcast this week continues to work on infrastructure in several areas of Ocean Pines. Additionally, residents in Sectors 1 and 2 are now eligible to sign up for service. Read more.
Census Officials Focus on Secondary Homeowners in Worcester County
The U.S. Census Bureau wants to assure that all housing units are contacted and the occupants properly counted. Even secondary homeowners should respond, even though they have completed the Census at their primary residence. Read more.

The Pine'eer Artisan Gift Shop Now Open
The Pine'eer Artisan Gift Shop is now open Saturdays 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Masks are required, and only credit card payments are currently accepted. The shop is located in White Horse Park next to the Ocean Pines Administration Building.

Shepherd's Nook & Flea Market Open
The Shepherd's Nook and Flea Market at the Community Church at Ocean Pines and Sarah's Pantry are open. All facilities require that masks be worn inside. The Nook will be restricted to 8 customers entering at a time and the flea market will be limited to 5 customers at a time. The direct phone number for the Nook and Sarah's Pantry is 410-641-8392. Hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

August 1: Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce 13th Annual Flounder Tournament
Lines in at 7 a.m., lines out at 3 p.m. Weigh-in at the Ocean Pines Marina (behind the Yacht Club) from 12-4 p.m. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, plus calcuttas. $45 per angler, or $40 each groups of two or more. Register online by July 31 at oceanpineschamber.org.
