Sun, sand, surf and beach-worthy eats and drinks kick in for the season at the Ocean Pines Beach Club starting Friday, May 24! The Beach Club will be open daily from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Please note that the Beach Club will be closed May 28-29 for construction.

Candidates for 2019-20 Board of Directors Announced

The Ocean Pines Association has announced the names of eight candidates who are eligible for election to the Ocean Pines Board of Directors for 2019-20.

The candidates, in alphabetical order, are Cynthia L. Bartolomeo, Paula Roberson Gray, Tom Janasek, Shawn Kotwica, Larry Perrone, Camilla J. Rogers, Hans Edward Solum, Jr. and Gregory Turner. Read more.
Demolition of Golf Clubhouse Underway
The first visible signs of the replacement of the clubhouse at Ocean Pines Golf Club were seen last Thursday as demolition of the building began.
Plans for Police Station Addition Released
The Board of Directors has released the first draft of the architectural plans for the addition to the community’s administration building that will house the Ocean Pines Police Department.
Roundabout Plans Shared
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration has shared plans for the proposed single lane roundabout at Ocean Parkway at the north gate entrance in Ocean Pines. Read more.
Board Director Esther Diller Resigns
The Ocean Pines Board of Directors has announced the resignation of Board Director Esther Diller. The Board will meet soon to address the resignation and to fill the vacant position.
Opening of Bids
Bids received for the new Pine'eer Craft Building will be opened at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 24.

Second Monday Of Month: Ocean Pines Camera Club
7 p.m. Ocean Pines branch library. Monthly get-together to share photos, tips, programs. Group goes on a photo shoot the Saturday following meeting and hosts a hands-on workshop the last Thursday of each month. Professional and amateur photographers and new members welcome. Meets second Monday of each month.

May 20: The next meeting of the Democratic Women's Club of Worcester County will be on Monday, May 20 at the Ocean Pines Community Center in Ocean Pines. Our speaker will be Wendy Myers, Executive Director of the Cricket Center of Worcester County, the county's only Child Advocacy Center. Join us at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and conversation. The meeting begins at 10:00 a.m. Food donations for local food banks are always welcome.

May 23: The Republican Women of Worcester County will hold their May luncheon meeting on Thursday, May 23 at the Ocean 13 restaurant on the Boardwalk at 13th Street in Ocean City. The guest speaker will be Cindy Ostrowski, board director, who will talk about the many programs available including counseling, youth programs, CASA and career assistance.
