Mowing Your Lawn & Plant Bed Care Reminder
Per the AERC Guidelines:
Mowing and Landscapes
All Ashburn Village owners are responsible for maintaining their entire lawn and landscape out to the curb, including utility and VDOT easements. Turf areas must be mowed regularly, keeping grass at a maximum height of six (6) inches or less.
Plant Beds
Plant beds should be kept neat and orderly, free of weeds and grass. Mulching helps define the beds and reduce weed growth. Edging and trimming around plant beds, sidewalks, and foundations maintain a uniform, well‑kept appearance throughout the community.

Inspections:
Annual Property Reviews Currently in Progress
Inspectors have completed Zone 1 and are now working on Zone 2!
Each year, Association staff conduct annual inspections of single‑family homes and townhomes to help ensure properties remain in compliance with the Community Guidelines.
If you are a new homeowner in the Village, or if you’re unfamiliar with the Architectural and Environmental Guidelines that our Community Standards Inspectors follow, we encourage you to review them ahead of time. Being familiar with the Guidelines is a great way to stay informed.
In addition to Annual inspections, inspectors may be in your area addressing resident-submitted concerns, and performing resale inspections if you are selling your home.

Please put yard waste in paper lawn bags or a container specifically marked "Yard Waste."
Yard debris is picked up on Mondays only and can be placed on the curbside up to 2 days prior to pick up.
Yard waste does not include any materials arising from tree removal, land clearing, or development activities (i.e.- hired landscaping contractors).

Earth Day is Next Week, April 22nd!
Simple Ways to celebrate Earth Day
A great way to celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd, and help the environment year‑round, is to make small, meaningful choices throughout your day. Consider picking up litter while out on your walk (bring a grocery bag and gloves), properly disposing of animal waste in the designated Village cans, turning off lights when they’re not in use, using reusable totes or cloth bags when shopping, planting a native plant in your home garden, looking for volunteer opportunities, donating clothing to a local thrift shop instead of throwing it away, and choosing to walk or bike when possible to help reduce carbon emissions.
Thank you for helping the enviroment one positive action at a time.

Share Your Thoughts: Steam Room Survey

As part of ongoing facility planning at the Sports Pavilion, the existing steam room is due for a significant overhaul. The estimated cost to replace the steam room is approximately $35,000.
Before moving forward, we are seeking resident input on whether to renovate the current steam room or consider alternative uses for the space.
Your feedback will help guide this decision.

Outdoor Pool Season Starts May 23rd

Access Card Required: An access card is needed to use the AVSP gym and all outdoor pools. If you already have one—including the original yellow version—you’re all set. Children under 6 do not need a card.

Guest Passes: Each property automatically receives 10 complimentary electronic outdoor pool guest passes (Woods, Mills, Lakes). You do not need to pick them up—they’re already loaded onto your access card. Additional passes can be purchased at the Sports Pavilion or HOA.
- Lost Access Card:

If you’ve lost or misplaced your card, the replacement fee is $5.00. Payment can be made by credit card or exact cash only at the HOA office, 44025 Courtland Dr.

Do you have a small wooded area near your home?
Have you ever wondered how you can save the native trees and bushes being smothered by invasive plants there?
This training is for you!
We'll meet in a wooded area along Gloucester Blvd to learn how to:
- Assess the condition of the woods
- Identify the most common invasive trees, bushes, and vines in these areas
- Prioritize what to tackle first
- Use both herbicide and non-herbicide methods to remove problem plants
Join us to rescue one of these wooded areas!

Ashburn Village Spring Yard Sale

Reminder! The Ashburn Village Spring Yard Sale, Shred, Paint and Electronic Recycle Event will be held this Saturday, April 18 from 9:00am - 1:00pm! Check out the Yard Sale Map here.
The shred, paint, and electronic recycle companies will be onsite at the Lakes Parking Lot from 9:00am - 1:00pm. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office will be onsite at the Lakes during the yard sale to collect and dispose of old prescription medications. Proof of residency will be required at drop-off.
Your first three paint cans are complimentary and each additional can will be $5 each. These
items are not permitted for the paint recycling: wood and deck stains, DryLock, polyurethane
sealers, spray paint, and hazardous waste. Please review the electronics restrictions list before you load your cars!
