🚌 Back-to-School Reminders for Ashburn Village Residents

As the school year begins, let’s work together to keep our neighborhood safe, and peaceful for all families.

🚸 Safety First

  • Slow down in residential areas—children may be walking, biking, or waiting at bus stops.
  • Obey school zone speed limits and watch for crossing guards.

🎒 Community Courtesy

  • Keep sidewalks clear of trash bins, or other obstructions so kids can walk safely.
  • Be mindful of parking near bus stops.

Covenant Department Update

Now that the annual property reviews have been completed, inspectors will shift their focus to conducting follow-up reinspections for any noted violations, addressing resident-submitted concerns, and continuing to monitor the village for tall grass as the summer season comes to a close.

🏡 Reminders for Residents:

  • Please ensure that graduation signs have been removed from your yard.
  • Trash bins must be stored out of sight—either in your garage or behind the rear plane of your home, against the structure.
  • Trash bins should be removed the same day your trash is collected.

If you have any questions or need assistance regarding your inspection results, feel free to contact our Resident Services Manager, Trevor Wright, at twright@ashburnvillage.org.

Upcoming Loudoun Invasive Removal Alliance Meeting's

The Loudoun County government, the Loudoun Soil and Water Conservation District and the Loudoun Invasive Removal Alliance are partnering to provide information sessions about the county’s Invasive Plant Species Management Program. They will be hosting two informational meetings to provide an overview of the program and how to prepare for the application process opening this fall.

  • Wednesday, August 27, 2025, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at The Barn at Brambleton located at 24439 Evergreen Mills Road in Ashburn
  • Tuesday, September 9, 2025, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Bluemont Vineyard located at 18755 Foggy Bottom Road in Bluemont

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved the Invasive Plant Species Management Program during its June 17, 2025, meeting, following a successful pilot program. The program aims to promote awareness of and removal of non-native invasive plant species that are negatively impacting the local economy and ecosystems. The county is partnering with the Loudoun Soil and Water Conservation District to administer the program.

More information about addressing the invasive plants problem in Loudoun County is available at loudoun.gov/InvasivePlants.

🌲Join AVIRT’s Last Workday!

The Ashburn Village Invasives Removal Team (AVIRT) will host its final Tree of Heaven training and workday on Sunday, August 31 from 9am-11am. If you haven't joined us before, want to learn how to treat mature Trees of Heaven, or just enjoyed our other workdays, come end the summer Tree of Heaven treatment season with us!

Over the last three months, volunteers have treated or removed more than 1200 Trees of Heaven in Ashburn Village, from 40' tall mother trees down to foot tall sapplings. Our goal has been to eradicate the host plant for the Spotted Lanternfly from our HOA before the end of the summer, and we are almost there!

We have one more Tree of Heaven grove in Ashburn Village, in the woods next to the Ashburn Meadows apartment community. The location is unique because there are very few other invasives, which gives us easy access and lots of opportunities for practicing different methods on these trees. No prior knowledge or supplies required.

Please sign up HERE to help us finish this huge Tree of Heaven effort.
