Ashburn Village

This Week in The Village

February 20, 2026

Dear Residents,

We would like to inform the community that our Member Services Coordinator, Kiera Small, is currently out of the office and is expected to return in mid‑May.

During this time, we are pleased to share that Ilvert Gjata, Community Standards Inspector, pictured below and one of our newest team members hired in January, will assist in covering Member Services tasks. To learn more about Ilvert, he shared two fun facts about him, that he’s a big fan of sports and has a passion for geography and travel. We’re truly delighted to have him on the HOA team, as he brings uplifting energy, a sincere eagerness to learn, and wonderful interpersonal skills—supporting residents with room rental inquiries, processing membership cards, and more.

He will be supported by Lydia Jessup, Community Engagement Specialist, and Addy Bradford, Community Standards Inspector, to ensure continuity of service.

When you see Ilvert, please give him a warm welcome. If you need to reach him, you can contact him at avca@ashburnvillage.org.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this period and remain committed to providing responsive support to our residents.

Thank you.

Trash & Recycling Replacement Bins Delayed Until Further Notice

Unfortunately, Republic Services has informed us that due to the ongoing impacts of the Winter Storm their inventory and logistics have faced significant challenges. Due to these supply constraints, there will be a delay in replacing residents containers.

If you do not have a bin at this time, Republic Services advised a temporary solution to ensure your waste is still collected. Please prepare your waste as follows:

  • Trash: Place in standard white or black bags (up to 30-gallon capacity).
  • Recycling: Place in clear bags (up to 30-gallon capacity).

They sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as their crews work to restore normal operations. Those waiting for a bin will be notifed by Republic Services as soon as your replacement container is scheduled for deliver.

If you have any questions, please contact Republic Services directly at avcatrash@republicservices.com.

Inspections:

Inspectors may be in your area addressing resident-submitted concerns, and performing resale inspections if you are selling your home.

Annual Property Inspections Begin in March

Each year, Association staff conduct annual inspections of single‑family homes and townhomes to help ensure properties remain in compliance with the Community Guidelines.

If you are a new homeowner in the Village, or if you’re unfamiliar with the Architectural and Environmental Guidelines that our Community Standards Inspectors follow, we encourage you to review them ahead of time. Being familiar with the Guidelines is a great way to stay informed.

Read more about the inspection process—and find out which zone your home falls under—in the February Villager magazine on pages 6 and 7 by clicking here.
