FACILITIES & GROUNDS

Projects completed this week by the Facilities and Grounds crew included:

Removed branch behind Ordinary
Replaced tennis net at Pavilion
Removed dead bushes on Tavern
Removed hornets nest on Glenhazel
Replaced light in the bubble
Replaced multiple signs and post throughout
Removed graffiti from utility box
Marked circuits at lakes rec center
Replaced ceiling tile in kid zone
Trimmed around multiple power boxes throughout
Started building new stands for swim lessons

LAKES POOL OPENING LATE

JULY 26TH

Ashburn Village is proud to host the Colonial Swim League’s All Stars Swim Meet at the Lakes Pool on Saturday, July 26th from 6 AM–1 PM. Due to this event the Lakes pool and parking lot will be opening late at 2 PM.

Please anticipate increased traffic, and note that overflow parking may occur on nearby streets. We’ve kindly asked all participants to be respectful of the neighborhood and our residents.

Renting Your Home? Here's What You Must Know!

Are you currently renting out your property in Ashburn Village? If so, please ensure the following steps are completed:

Submit the Change of Address form
Provide a copy of the lease agreement and signed lease addendum
If you are transferring amenities to your tenants, please complete and submit the required forms HERE!

Additionally, as the property owner, you are responsible for providing your tenants with the Association’s Rules and Regulations as well as the Governing Documents to ensure they are informed and in compliance. Click HERE!

They’re Baaaaccckkk! Help Us Stop Them at the Source!

Spotted Lanternflies (SLF) are sap-sucking insects that devour plants and leave a residue that attracts wasps and ants, grows mold, and produces a rotten odor. They arrived in Ashburn Village last year, but this year is expected to be much worse. The SLF nymphs, pictured below, were photographed last week.

SLF prefer their native host plant, the Tree of Heaven (ToH), and have higher survival rates and produce more eggs when they feed on it. To try to reduce the impact of SLF, Ashburn Village removed approximately 70% of the mature ToH in the community last summer. But a single tree can produce over 300,000 seeds per year! So we have many more including new saplings to get after this year.

This Weekend, Sunday, July 20 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, volunteers led by experienced professionals and volunteers will treat trees in Ashburn Village common areas.

AVSP Outdoor Pool Hours

Monday – Friday: 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Please Note:

The 10 complimentary outdoor guest pool passes, electronically loaded onto your membership cards, are valid only at the Lakes, Woods, and Mills outdoor pools. They cannot be used at the AVSP outdoor pool. When bringing a guest, please inform the lifeguard.
Guest passes for AVSP are available for purchase at the AVSP front desk for $10 per day.
All residents age 6 and older must have a valid membership card with an updated photo on file for entry.

Teen Weight Summer Training Hours

Monday-Thursday from 9:30 AM - 11:30 PM.
