Reid's Big Announcement

Ben Osha and Reid Wobby announce the details around AGC/VT's Leadership Academy, which officially kicks off September 16.

This 8-week program will be hands-on (not just sitting in a classroom while someone talks at you), provide practical tools and strategies for leading strong teams, and earn participants a certificate at the end of the program.

They thought of everything for this one; classes end at noon, and participants will even be sent back to the jobsite with a lunch!

And thanks to Northfield Savings Bank, the entire 8-week program is just $100 per participant.

Space is limited to 25 participants; priority given to AGC/VT members

From the Jobsite in Washington: What's Going On with Highway Funding?

This week, we're introducing Searching for the Shovel, a new feature that takes the policy questions affecting Vermont's construction industry and cuts through the political noise to get at what they could mean on the jobsite.

First up: Congress is working on the future of federal highway funding, and the House and Senate aren't exactly digging in the same direction.

What's changing, and what could it mean for Vermont contractors?
