Ben Retires the 1998 Training Plan

Is Your Training Older Than Ben?

While cleaning out the AGC/VT materials closet last week, Ben and Richard found training materials dating back to 1998. That's three years before Ben was born.

It raised a good question: When was the last time you took a close look at the training materials your company is using?

Recent OSHA activity has put training records and written programs back in the conversation, and AGC/VT has been working on new opportunities based on what members are running into in the field.

Take a look at AGC/VT's 2027 Training Catalog below, and let us know where we can help you get squared away.

New DBE Rules and Tough Funding Choices

In this week's Searching for the Shovel, we're looking at new DBE rules and what tougher transportation funding decisions could mean for Vermont contractors.

Waiting until bid day to figure out yoru DBE participation could be an expensive mistake.

The new rules put more attention on documentation and compliance, while rising construction costs are forcing states to make harder decisions about which transportation projects move forward.

This week, we're looking at what contractors should know before the next round of work hits the street.
