Weekly Toolbox Talk

Richard Campaigns Against OSHA's Most Unwanted Candidates

Richard's been campaigning against Fall Protection for 30 years. So far, it's winning.

With Election Day looming, Richard and Ben put OSHA's most frequently cited standards on the ballot, talking through fall protection, hazard communication, scaffolding, ladders, and PPE, and why these familiar issues keep showing up on jobsites.

Governor Debate Edition

Election season brings plenty of promises, talking points, and plans for Vermont’s future. But for those of us in construction, there’s always another question:

Where’s the shovel?

After watching all three gubernatorial debates, we heard two very different visions for Vermont. The differences were clear on affordability, housing, healthcare, taxes, regulation, and the role of government.

Rather than just keeping score, we wanted to dig a little deeper.

What do these debates mean for the contractors, employers, and working Vermonters who have to turn policy into actual projects, paychecks, and places to live?

This week, we tackled three questions from our followers that we felt are worth digging into.

Election day is almost here. For those of us in construction, the stakes are real.

As employers, business owners, managers, and community leaders, please encourage your employees, coworkers, friends, and family members to vote.

Put reminders in break rooms. Mention it at the morning meeting. Send a text. Make a call.

The future direction of Vermont will be decided by those who show up.

Let's finish strong.

Get out the vote. Encourage others to vote. And most importantly, VOTE.
