At our
National Night Out event last Tuesday, we debuted our
"Movies in the Park" program with
"Yogi Bear the Movie"! We want to thank the
Public Safety Committee for their work in organizing and bringing this family friendly event to Westcreek.
"Movies in the Park" will be a great addition to the many programs we offer our residents. We look forward to having more movies in the future for the entire family. Please contact the Recreation Superintendent, if you have any recommendations for future movies.

A goal of the Villages of Westcreek sports program is for all youth sports participants, both parents and children, to have an enjoyable sporting experience. A fun and friendly environment is a characteristic of all of our sports programs. We could not run our programs without our Volunteer coaches!
We appreciate the outstanding and selfless dedication of our volunteers. Many volunteers put in countless hours of work to make our programs a success. On average, a head soccer coach puts in over 50 hours for practices and games. We know there are many more hours spent behind the scenes, and every minute is greatly appreciated! Thank you to all of YOU who invest time and energy into the lives of young people today. Families are very important to the Villages of Westcreek!
The dedication of our Coaches, as mentors to our future leaders, is to be commended! The Villages of Westcreek welcomes you all to our Sports Program. So to the following Volunteer coaches we want to say Thank you!!
Soccer Coaches
Joseph Medina, Julie Martin, Christian Haynes, Alejandro Branch, Anthony Coleman, Christian Ramirez, Clint Seitz, Tianna Carroll, David Thompson, Malori Adams, Thomas Witt, Ryan Shoptaugh, Thomas Farnsworth, Daniel Morales, and Scott Davis.
Basketball Coaches

It is hard to believe that next year the Villages of Westcreek will celebrate our 30th Anniversary!
Have you ever thought what our community looked like then or even before? What was the first home sold in Westcreek? What were the home values then compared to today? Who were the developers and builders at that time? How far was the closest HEB? What was here before the Villages of Westcreek? Who were the original Board Members of the Association? What were the challenges then compared to today for the Association?
The Communications Committee is seeking volunteers who would be willing to "Chase the VWOA History" down.
If you enjoy researching history and would like to participate in this project, please contact the Communications Committee Chair, Bill Fenstermacher.

This weekend around the house,
take time to inspect the bricks and foundation of your home, walkways, patios, driveways and sidewalks for signs of stains, mold and mildew. If you find a problem, take time to have these areas pressure washed.

Tip #2: Lock the Door
Did you know that more than 40 percent of burglaries don't include forced entry-meaning people are leaving doors and windows unlocked. Install deadbolts on all doors; double cylinders are best, since they require a key on both sides of the door, and it prevents burglars from breaking a pane of glass, reaching around, and unlocking the door. (
Check your area's fire code first; some places don't allow double cylinder locks because they can trap inhabitants inside in the event of a fire.)
And remember to lock the door leading from the garage to the house, even if the garage door is down. (It's easy to manipulate.)

A maximum of one (1) sign is permitted.
