Suzhou, China and Washington University School of Medicine Sign Medical Consulting Agreement

World Trade Center St. Louis (WTC STL) connected the China National Development Bank and Suzhou, China based HuiCi Health Management Co. with Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM), Siteman Cancer Center and BJC Healthcare for a new medical consulting agreement. This agreement includes significant new healthcare service exports in the form of consulting on the design and construction of a new cancer hospital in Suzhou, China. Trade Delegation to Mexico

In partnership with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan St. Louis, the WTC STL organized a successful multi-industry outbound trade mission to Mexico (April 6-12, 2019), with a delegation of 25, including representatives from AllianceSTL, Bayer, BioSTL, Centene, Maritz, St. Louis Lambert International Airport, and others.

Trade & Investment Delegation to the United Kingdom & The Netherlands

WTC STL led a foreign direct investment delegation to the UK and The Netherlands, including representatives from Bayer, BioSTL, British Consulate-General Chicago, Missouri Partnership, Missouri Dept. of Agriculture, St. Louis Regional Chamber, St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, the Yield Lab and the University of Missouri - St. Louis.

Growing Global 2019

Sept. 25, 2019 marked 21 years of Growing Global. This year's theme, US-China Relations: The Next 40 Years, took a closer look at diplomatic relations between the US and China. A dialogue with China experts examined the nature of the Sino-American relationship at this pivotal point in our history. More than 600 business, civic and elected leaders were in attendance.

Foreign Direct Investment & InBIA

Working with many local partners, including 39 North and the Helix Center, WTC STL hosted a number of inbound agriculture and food-oriented focused delegations from Central America and Europe.

Increased collaboration with the US Department of State, America's Small Business Development Centers and the International Business Innovation Association has resulted in an upcoming reciprocal visit from UK based Agri-Tech East, scheduled to take place in February 2020.

St. Louis-Nanjing Sister Cities Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Mayor Krewson, together with representatives from the St. Louis-Nanjing Sister Cities Committee and WTC STL traveled to Nanjing, China in October to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the St. Louis-Nanjing sister cities relationship .

Collins and Hermann sponsored the gift of a 7-foot tall bronze statue in the likeness of Cardinals pitcher, Adam Wainwright from the city of St. Louis to Nanjing.
