Sunday Worship Update
We will be open for registrations for Sunday’s service. The re-entry committee looked at the average of cases over the last three days and determined, that, while some days were above the threshold, the average remains below.
Registration for services is here:
If we have space, we may also be able to accommodate registration onsite. Space will be limited and masks will be required for all in attendance. Virtual services will continue, as always, on Facebook or the front page of the website, and we will gather together in the Square after the service for BYO coffee hour.

Further Reflections: Bishop's Visit
by Martha Lipscomb
I had the privilege this weekend of attending church in person on October 3rd for the Bishop’s visit. During the service, the Bishop confirmed and received new members. I was so happy to see so many young people being confirmed. In the 20+ years I have attended CHT, I don’t think I have ever seen a confirmation class that included kids who have grown up in the church. I remember teaching some of those kids in Sunday School when they were four and five years old.
I love that my own children will be confirmed in the not so distant future and they will be part of a community outside of their normal school and afterschool activities communities. It is wonderful to see them develop bonds with CHT outside of the bonds that their parents have with the church. It is also a gift to be able to see them discovering and exploring their own faith.
It is such an exciting time to be part of the church and I am thrilled to be able to witness it.

There are all kinds of ways you can get involved at the church – from home, at the church, even from afar! We might not all be able to get together, but we can all lend a hand and share our gifts! Check out this space each week for new opportunities:

Ushers on Sunday
As the church continues to open, we need ushers to help with simple Sunday service tasks: welcoming and handing out bulletins, helping with sign-in if needed, collecting bulletins from pews after the service, etc. A Vestry member will be the on-site coordinator and keep you up on what is needed that day. Please contact Nancy Rasmussen at [email protected] if you can help us out!

Do you Doodle?
CHT is always looking to embrace our members' unique talents and integrate them into our services, events, and more. If you're an artist who wants to share your work with the church, let us know! Email [email protected] and we'll reach out for any artistry needs in the future, from bulletin art to event promotion.

Clothing Donations: It's Getting Cold!
We are in urgent need of the following men’s clothing items to support our clothing ministry and partnership with the Sunday Love Project:
Pants, sweaters, shirts, jackets, winter coats, vests, socks, underwear, sneakers, work boots, and casual shoes. All sizes are needed. We are looking for warm, comfortable, casual streetwear.
Also needed are gloves, hats, scarves, blankets, and health/beauty items in travel sizes. The only women’s items we need are scarves, hats, shoes, boots, and gloves. Please no other women’s items at this time.
All items can be dropped off Sundays and Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30 pm, at the Walnut Street entrance to the Centennial Room.

Unused Camera?
Help the church take memorable photos for special events! If you have an old DSLR camera you don't use anymore, consider giving it to the church to help keep our website and social media looking fresher than ever. In exchange, we'd be happy to give you a tax letter for donation purposes. Please email [email protected] if you're able to help.
