Quarter 1 Update: Entrepreneurship
Last week the Corridor hosted a Quarterly Meeting to update investors on Quarter 1 progress.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be sharing our FY21, Quarter 1 Statistics. This week, we are starting with Entrepreneurship!

In the first quarter, Senior Vice President Brian Dalziel served 41 entrepreneurial clients, 8 new clients and 2 new companies.

Here is just one story of a company Brian has been working with:
It has been fun working with the team at Levity Tech. I began working with these team members while they were students at BVU developing the Match Learn Launch platform. Today they are the first tech company to land in The Foundry coworking space in downtown Storm Lake. The company has secured some service customers that generate revenue for Levity.

Levity Tech now will expand into creating a product. Like many tech startups, their initial emphasis was to begin coding, and they did not plan to talk to β€œcustomers” of their new social media web application until their minimum viable product (MVP) was done. I helped them to understand that the folks who will use their application are not their customers, because users do not pay (think Facebook). Customers are those businesses who pay for information and advertising opportunities and generate revenue for the company. These companies need to be contacted before building out the MVP through a process called Customer Discovery, and a minimum of 100 prospective customers will be contacted before year’s end. Securing feedback from customers prior to building the product ensures they are building the right product – a product that produces the results paying customers demand.
