College, SBDC - and Goldman Sachs - want you!

What would you pay to be mentored by some of the brightest minds in business while developing a customized growth plan for your company?

How about nothing?
The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program educates selected business owners for business growth while walking them through a curriculum focused on skills that can be applied immediately:
  • Identify and evaluate business opportunities
  • Understand and manage the competitive business environment
  • Analyze financial statements
  • Learn about access to financial capital
  • Be a more effective leader
  • Become a more skilled negotiator
10,000 Small Businesses has been around for several years, but only recently was Iowa selected for a statewide program. • Owner or co-owner of business
  • Business in operation at least two years
  • Business revenues of at least $100,000 in the most recent fiscal year
  • Minimum of two employees, including the owner
Applications are due immediately. To learn more about this powerful opportunity, contact Shelly Brown, Tietz Entrepreneurial Center Coordinator at Iowa Lakes Community College, 515.295.8531, To apply immediately, visit
