ProMat trade show

Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation CEO Kiley Miller
joined the Iowa Area Development Group (IADG), Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative, and other rural economic development partners in Chicago last month at ProMat, a trade show focusing on distribution, logistics and supply chain solutions.
Kiley Miller, CEO of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation, joined the Iowa Area Development Group last month at ProMat, a logistics and supply chain trade show in Chicago. Shown are (from left): Bruce Hansen, Iowa Area Development Group; Dave Mohr, Eastern Iowa Light & Power; Jed Skogerboe, Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative; Shannon Laundauer, Carroll Area Development Corporation; and Miller.
More than 1,000 businesses from around the world participated in ProMat, displaying products that ranged from next-generation robotics and control systems to pallet racks.
Bruce Hansen, Vice President of Business Development for the Iowa Area Development Group, led the Iowa delegation. IADG is a business and community development leader representing more than 220 electric cooperatives, municipal utilities, and independent telecommunications companies.
"Joining statewide partners such as the Iowa Area Development Group at trade shows maximizes our reach, impact and funding," Miller said. "They have the brands, resources and talent to generate more leads than our region can alone.
"Plus, we learn so much from working side-by-side with other economic development people."
Also attending ProMat were Jed Skogerboe, Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative; Dave Mohr, Eastern Iowa Light & Power Cooperative; and Shannon Landauer, Carroll Area Development Corporation.
"We want to say thank you to all of our investing members who make it possible for the Corridor to attend events like ProMat," Miller said. "Our business community benefits when we are able to identify and meet with companies that can fill gaps in the regional economy."
