This Week in the Corridor
"Diversity" has too often been used as a buzzword in the business world to describe a company's efforts to employ more people of color or more women.   Unfortunately, this is where many organizations and their surrounding communities miss the boat--because diversity is so much more than just race or gender. The organizations and communities who are truly thriving under the umbrella of "diversity" understand that the effort is a journey, and that it must encompass the understanding and focus on equity, inclusion, and engagement. Without a holistic approach to diversity, organizations and communities will remain in the "buzzword" mentality, and will not experience the economic and social benefits of a thriving community designed for all people.
To learn more about how diversity, equity, inclusion, and engagement will benefit the Iowa Lakes Corridor region, businesses, and you personally, please join us on for our Diversity's Friends forum on June 12.
We look forward to seeing you there to represent our community!
