Spec building purchased by MWI Components

MWI Components and the City of Spencer have entered into a memorandum of intent for the purchase of the spec building at Green Industrial Park. This project completion is the culmination of efforts from Spencer city officials, the city attorney, Spencer Municipal Utilities, and the Iowa Lakes Corridor.

Children watch as SL council pledges support for expanding care efforts

The Storm Lake City Council approved the support of Trevina Jefferson's Trepson Foundation to begin the process of answering the need for more child care providers in Storm Lake. Jefferson, parents and preschoolers joined the meeting on Monday when the support was announced.

City, Main Street, chamber, financial partners launch 'Kickstarter' initiative

The Retail Kickstarter Program is a partnership between the city of Spencer, Spencer Main Street, the Spencer Chamber of Commerce, Community State Bank, Northwest Bank and Farmers Bank. The goal of the Kickstarter program is to spur economic growth, facilitate investment in retail and diversify the local economy. The Corridor assisted in developing the program.
