Celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a morning of music, crafts, readings, and a soul food tasting. Take a peace walk through the Gardens highlighting quotes and important events in the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. At 11:30 a.m. join us in the Crystal Bridge for a reading of I Have a Dream Speech, followed by a performance from the Oklahoma Collegiate Gospel Choir.

Take part in the magical and therapeutic art form known as Ebru. This ancient practice teaches patience, balance and harmony. All materials are organic. In Ebru, each painting is as unique as the human creating it. Disposable aprons will be provided.

Each paid participant’s wristband includes skating at the Devon Ice Rink and admission into our Park House Event Center for three 6 oz. beer samples that are paired with donuts from Hurts Donut Company, and board games to play with friends. Additional beverages can be purchased onsite.

The Gardens’ annual Oklahoma Gardening School is the state’s premier annual horticultural symposium designed for home gardeners and professional horticulturists, garden designers and landscape architects.

The 2019 theme is Growing Beautiful, Successful and Low-Maintenance Herb Gardens. Speakers will inspire as they demonstrate how to grow purposeful herb gardens through adaptive designs, proper plant selection, and precise cultivation and maintenance practices to produce the finest aromatic, culinary, and therapeutic benefits for a healthier and more bountiful gardening experience.
