Thank you to those residents who attended my Mini District Meetings this week. We had some useful discussions, and I appreciate your time and feedback. I enjoyed hearing your ideas on what you would like to see happen to make your neighborhoods a safer and more enjoyable place to call home.
A common concern received was vehicles speeding in residential neighborhoods and vehicles running red lights. I am pleased to inform you that my office has entered this information in our Glendale One system. We have already received notification from the Glendale Police Department that enforcement in these specified locations has begun and citations have been issued. The Police will continue to monitor these reported areas.
Please do not hesitate to contact my office and let us know if you have a concern and we can enter your request into Glendale One. We can also explain to residents how to utilize this beneficial tool. Glendale One can be used from the online portal, or it can download via app to a smart phone. For a tutorial on how to use Glendale One, click here!
I wanted to thank the Parks and Recreation Department for the use of the public meeting space and staff for assisting in setting up the meetings. I also wanted to thank the Fire Department attending and sharing valuable information about fire prevention including how often to check smoke alarms, and lithium battery safe use and disposal. Lastly, thank you to the Transportation Department for attending and explaining to residents what processes the department coordinates and explaining how recycling works along with the best practices to support the city's recycling efforts.
