Councilmember Message

Recently, I had a meeting with a representative from Cox Communications. In addition to offering wide variety of products and services that are available to Glendale residents, I was informed that Cox Cable offers low-cost internet programs for those on a tight budget (must qualify). They offer multiple plans based on varying customer needs. Plans are available for individuals, families/students, or even a pay as you go option.

If you are a Glendale resident and are in need of fast and reliable internet; check out Cox Communications to see what programs are offered and what options, you and your family may qualify for. For more information, click here!

DOWNTOWN GLENDALE

NEWS & EVENTS

Christmas in July is Back!

THIS Saturday, July 12, 2025

Join us Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Historic Downtown Glendale for a fun-filled day in Catlin Court and Old Towne. Local shops and eateries are celebrating with festive activities, make-and-takes (some with a small fee), artist demos, and plenty of photo ops.

Start at the Arizona Information Center (5836 W. Palmaire Ave.) to grab your event map and activity list. The first 100 guests get a free collectible event sticker, part of the ongoing HDG sticker series.

Don’t miss the Charm Drop! Get a starter bracelet and event charm for $5 at Glendale Flowers & Gifts, Memory Lane, or Pink House Boutique. Then follow the Charm Trail to collect more unique charms—just $2 each at over 30 local shops!

We are proud to announce that Historic Downtown Glendale has a NEW shop to call home. The Scribbled Hollow! Located at 5719 W Glendale Ave, this enchanting new shop, a whimsical “little shop of fantasy” invites book lovers, fantasy fans, and the curious to explore its curated collection of fandom-themed gifts, manga, accessories, and curated treasures.

The celebrations kicked off with a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark this exciting arrival in our community. Local business leaders, and city dignitaries, The Glendale Chamber of Commerce along with Glendale residents and the public, welcomed The Scribbled Hollow with the classic ribbon-cutting tradition—complete with oversized scissors and a photo-worthy moment.

The Scribbled Hollow is a new Historic Downtown Glendale shop you won’t want to miss! So, spread the word and come discover your next magical treasure at The Scribbled Hollow!

Last week marked a meaningful moment for three members of the Glendale Fire Department. Firefighter Shane Wright, Firefighter Josh Wright, and Probationary Firefighter Colby Siebert had the chance to work together on Engine 152.

The three grew up together—and Colby is their cousin. It had long been their dream not only to serve on the Glendale Fire Department, but to work side by side on E152.

Family. Brotherhood. Full circle.
