July is National Parks and Recreation Month—a time to recognize the important role parks play in enhancing quality of life, promoting wellness, and building community. The City of Glendale is proud to offer a variety of beautiful and well-maintained parks for residents and visitors to enjoy.
One standout location is Grand Canal Linear Park, a community favorite known for its scenic 4.5-mile trail running alongside the historic Grand Canal. This multi-use trail is ideal for walking, biking, and even a round of disc golf. The park also features a modern playground with a multi-station obstacle course, offering engaging activities for children of all ages.
Did you know? Grand Canal Linear Park connects directly to the newly developed Heroes Regional Park and the vibrant Westgate Entertainment District. It’s the perfect place to spend the day—explore the trails, let the kids play, and finish your outing with dinner and a movie at Westgate.
Celebrate this month by exploring the parks that make Glendale a great place to live, play, and connect!
