Hello Kristina,
Wishing you a happy and safe Easter with family and friends! Remember that Spring Break for LBUSD students starts this Monday, April 1.
With rainstorms in the forecast all weekend, I encourage you to remove trash and palm fronds from storm drains near your home. For piles of palm fronds to be removed, submit a service request on the Go Long Beach app.
Please join the Community Development Department for a virtual community meeting at 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday, April 11. The agenda will review the ZoneIn: City Core plan, which covers Pacific Coast Highway, 10th Street, Magnolia, and Ximeno Avenues. This plan updates zoning regulations to support new housing developments and a greater mix of uses, particularly along commercial corridors in the area, including Anaheim Street and Pacific Coast Highway. Learn more and register here.
As always, the District 3 team and I are here to help. You can reach us at District3@longbeach.gov or (562) 570-6300.

Pothole-Filling Ride-Along | In response to resident concerns, our District 3 staff met with the Public Works Street Maintenance Unit this week to observe the pothole-filling process. The process is complex, but simply put, the unit uses an asphalt binder, compaction techniques, and sand to fill the potholes. They work to ensure drivers have access to roads immediately after the process. | | | |
