Public Safety Meeting Planning for Summer

Our coastline is a popular summer destination for visitors from across the region. With this increase in activity, we also see a rise in public safety issues. Over the past week, there have been several safety incidents, including three involving firearms. We’re taking this seriously and don't want this to be an indicator for the upcoming summer.

In addition to our speakers, we will have representatives in attendance from the Long Beach Fire Department and Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman's office.

Join us for a community discussion on the summer public safety plan.

Sing-a-Long Beach at Rec Park Bandshell

Last weekend, I joined the inaugural Sing-a-Long Beach, a community celebration of unity through music. Thank you to Mary Barton, Stan DeWitt (top picture), Naples Garden Club (bottom picture), and all other chorus groups for uplifting our community with every note. Be sure to check out the summer schedule for Live at the Shell!
