The Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk started distributing Vote by Mail ballots to all registered voters, which can be dropped off at various locations throughout the City. Be sure to mail your ballot by the deadline of November 5, 2024, at 8:00 pm to ensure your voice is heard.

I am excited to announce the launch of the Lights, Camera, No Action Pilot Program, designed to enhance safety in our community with a rebate of up to $100 per address to purchase a camera and / or lighting. Applications are now open for 3rd District residents, businesses, nonprofits, and religious institutions. Through increasing effective lighting and security measures, we aim dissuade criminal activity and assist law enforcement.

The 25th Anniversary Team Spirit Long Beach Cancer 5K was such a well attended event with so many residents coming together to walk in support of loved ones and those being supported by the wonderful doctors and staff at the Todd Cancer Institute! A heartfelt thank you to MemorialCare for organizing this event to support the Todd Cancer Institute.

The State-of-the-Corps Luncheon highlighted the achievements of the Long Beach Conservation Corps and their dedication to keeping our City clean. Thank you to all the Corps employees and to Executive Director and CEO, Dan Knapp, for hosting this celebration!
