Have You Ever Considered Where Electricity Comes From When You Flip On A Light Switch?

The way in which Xcel Energy generates electricity involves a detailed, long-term planning process – one that is currently under consideration at the MN Public Utilities Commission. Our Upper Midwest Energy Plan (also known as an Integrated Resource Plan) includes continuing our industry-leading renewable energy expansion, retires our coal plants in the Upper Midwest, and ensures reliability by building a new natural gas plant near Becker while also continuing to operate our carbon-free nuclear plants, including extending the license of our Monticello nuclear plant for another 10 years. Click here for more information.
Required Workplace Posters Available

The state's new minimum wage poster is available to print or order on DLI's website. Minnesota's minimum-wage rates will be adjusted for inflation beginning January 1, 2021, to $10.08 an hour for large employers and $8.21 an hour for small employers, youth, and training wages.

Minnesota law requires employers to display state-mandated posters in a location where all employees can easily see them, such as in the break room, in a common area, or by the time clock. The five required posters contain information about age discrimination, Minnesota minimum-wage rates, safety and health protections on the job, unemployment benefits, and workers' compensation. DLI offers the posters at no cost, in English, Hmong, Somali, and Spanish. Click here to get the free required workplace posters.
