Shakopee Area Resources For COVID-19

The Shakopee Chamber and Visitors Bureau has compiled a list of helpful resources for business and personal issues related to COVID-19. You can find this list on our website, www.shakopee.org . We will update as information becomes available. If you have any additions, please contact us at info@shakopee.org .
Some Non-Critical Sector Businesses Allowed To Open

Governor Tim Walz and state agencies including the Department of Employment and Economic Development, Department of Health, and Department of Labor and Industry are working together to safely allow some non-Critical Sector businesses to open, while abiding by the Stay at Home order issued on March 25, 2020 and extended through May 3, 2020.
Survey To Help Determine MN's New Social Distancing Norms

Although we are currently operating under an active Stay at Home order across the State of Minnesota, State Government leaders are in the process of thinking through what new “social distancing norms” should be once the Stay at Home order is eventually lifted. (Should everyone keep wearing masks? How do we stay 6 feet away from each other in an elevator? Etc.)

This survey is designed to identify trends across organizational categories rather than focusing on the views of one organization, so results will be anonymized as much as possible by removing survey comments that identify specific people or organizations.
Though there is no charge to attend, registration is required. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with an invitation to join the Zoom meeting.
A re you feeling cooped up and in need of human interaction due to social distancing requirements? US TOO! Grab your favorite beverage and join us on Zoom THIS Thursday for a Virtual Happy Hour!

(Zoom info will be sent upon registration. Must be registered to attend.)
Help Support Downtown Restaurants As They Help Support The Shakopee Chamber

From April 27 - May 1, 2020, 10% of all proceeds at O'Brien's Public House, Pablo's Mexican Restaurant, and Turtle's Bar & Grill will go to support the Shakopee Chamber.

Shakopee Proud! For the last several weeks, our Chamber team has been proudly watching and supporting Pablo’s Mexican Restaurant, O’Brien’s Public House and Turtle's Bar & Grill. They are sharing 10% of their revenue each week to financially support members of our community who are impacted by COVID-19 related Executive Orders but are not eligible for the stimulus relief that is being offered.

Now this week, they have made the Chamber the beneficiary of their help. The Chamber has remained vigilant in our mission to support the Shakopee business community through the trials this pandemic brings and will continue to do so. However, as a 501(c)(6) organization we are not eligible for the PPP offered through the CARES Act and are facing several months of lost revenue due to social distancing. Understanding this, our friends at Pablo’s, O’Brien’s and Turtle’s are supporting us so we can keep supporting you.

PLEASE add them to your take out rotation this week. They are all fantastic examples of generosity and community support, and they all have EXCELLENT food! Thanks Ed, Bryan and Scott for being loyal chamber members and for supporting us! We appreciate you .
