Reopening Shakopee Safely

The Shakopee Chamber is committed to helping all of our members re-open safely and ensuring that they have all of the information and tools to do so. To that end, every business - regardless of sector - is being asked to develop and implement a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan prior to reopening and to ensure the plan is evaluated, monitored, executed, and updated as required. In addition, the plan should be posted for all employees to readily review.  Click here for a link to a preparedness plan template.

We want to help you share your plans with your customers and the community at large.  Email us your preparedness plan and we will ensure that it is posted on our website. Consumer confidence is going to be critical to a successful re-opening. We all have an obligation to each other to ensure our employees and guests are safe in our businesses, and are clear as to what measures have been taken and what rules they need to follow in your business.

It’s going to take all of us to make this re-opening of our economy a successful one, and our friends and colleagues at the MN Retailers Association have worked with the team at DEED to compile a great list of guidelines for reopening retail safely.   Click here for guidelines and requirements, as well as some helpful downloadable signage regarding social distancing guidelines and face covering requests.
