The Shakopee Chamber of Commerce is once again hosting candidate debates. The first debate of the season is the Republican Primary Debate between House 55A Candidates Bob Loonan and Erik Mortensen. This debate will be recorded and the video will be released through the Shakopee Chamber or Commerce Facebook and YouTube channels on Friday, July 31. You will also be able to find the video by going to  Shakopee.org/resources/elections .

Leadership Shakopee is a leadership development program coordinated by the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce. This seven-session program informs emerging and existing leaders about the critical inner workings of our community. The class will participate in a series of educational and hands-on opportunities designed to inform and inspire leaders – and challenge them to make a difference through personal commitment and involvement. Update On Available SBA COVID-19 Relief Options
Paycheck Protection Program : Forgivable loan helps businesses and nonprofits pay employees for up to 24 weeks. Sole proprietors and independent contractors are also eligible. The deadline for loan approval is now August 8. Find a Minnesota lender  or connect with one through  SBA LenderMatch .

Economic Injury Disaster Loan : An SBA working capital loan that can help small businesses, non-profits, sole proprietors, and independent contractors pay expenses they are not able to due to income loss caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Apply through the SBA .

SBA Debt Relief : SBA is paying the principal, interest, and fees on existing SBA loans for six months. For new SBA loans approved by September 27, SBA will also pay principal, interest, and fees for six months.  Find a Minnesota lender  or connect with one through  SBA LenderMatch .

SBA Express Bridge Loan :  Express lenders can approve these loans quickly for up to $1 million through December 31, and veterans pay no up-front guaranty fee on them.  Find an Minnesota SBA Express lender .
