Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

In Revelation 7:9, John describes a multitude from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. You are among these multitudes of worshipers!
But there is still an urgent need for the gospel to be proclaimed among some of the hardest to reach peoples and places. Every day, 155,473 people enter eternity with no hope. We are still here. Still able to go to them. Still able to share with them the most important news in all the world, the most important message they will ever hear. We can still offer help and hope. THAT IS WHY WE EXIST.
If God is calling you to go—then go. If not, God is calling you to send—so, send. How do you send? You send by praying for those who are going. You send by becoming an advocate inviting your church and others to pray and give and go. Please see the Prayer Guide. It will lead you and others in your church through a week of stories and prayers for your International Mission Board missionaries who have answered the call to go and are serving around the world.
Paul Chitwood, IMB President

Missionary Update by Jill Nash...

It takes two planes, a bus, multiple taxis, walking through the mud and four hours in a small boat through rough seas and a winding river to arrive at an indigenous community deep in the Colombian jungle. The community I’ll call PI*, is Embera Dobida with a brand new Baptist church, the second ever to be planted among this people group. The pastor, Frank* invited us to come and lead a storying training with his members who are very eager to share the gospel in other Embera communities located much deeper in the jungle. There were the most captive audience I have ever taught The word of God is precious to them, so much so that the ones who received reading glasses that you all donated immediately sat down to read the Bible and were overjoyed that they could see the words clearly, These believers expressed excitement to travel to communities far away, some several days walking through harsh, thick jungle after going as far as the river allows in a canoe to share the Good News with their friends and family. Please pray for these believers from PI as they live out the great commission in one of the most remote regions of Colombia.     *Names changed.
(this article was published in the Childrey Church newsletter originally).
