Matthew 26:36-46
Jesus Prays in Gethsemane
36 Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go over there and pray.” 37 And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch[a] with me.” 39 And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.” 40 And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter, “So, could you not watch with me one hour? 41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 42 Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.” 43 And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. 44 So, leaving them again, he went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same words again. 45 Then he came to the disciples and said to them, “Sleep and take your rest later on.[b] See, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. 46 Rise, let us be going; see, my betrayer is at hand.”

The Deacons are once again encouraging all members to socially distance in the church, use hand sanitizer frequently, and please wear a mask (over mouth and nose). Let’s make every effort to keep each other healthy and safe. Thank you.

Please remember that not only do we have our Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall for Worship Service, but we also stream it live on YouTube and you may tune in and listen in the parking lot on 107.3 FM radio.        youtube.com/ebenezerbaptistchurchva/live

ALMA HUNT OFFERING:
For Virginia Missions
September 12-19, 2021
ALMAHUNT.ORG                    Our Goal: $1500.00
                                               Collected to Date: $400.00
The annual offering for Virginia Missions was named for Alma Hunt (1909-2008), a native Virginia who was known worldwide for her missions service and her unswerving dedication to the cause of Christ.
The offering provides funding for all Woman’s Missionary Union of Virginia (WMUV) missions and ministries and makes possible other special ministries, outreach projects, and initiatives not funded through regular streams of giving (but uniquely connected to Virginia Baptists). Since 1976, this offering has been a joint venture between WMUV and the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV).
When you give to the Alma Hunt Offering of Virginia Missions, you are equipping those who seek to share with others how God has set them free to live and serve. Won’t you give today?

Ebenezer is now set up for online giving. If you wish to have it drafted from your checking account, you will be charged a 1% fee ($100 check to the church you will be charged a fee of $1 so $101 will be deducted from your checking account). If you decide to tithe via Credit/Debit Card, you will be charged a 2% fee. The link to online giving is https://tithe.ly.give?c=1310972
