Youth Ministry Lock-In (Sleepover)

“Works or Fruit” taken from Galatians 5:16-18, is this year’s theme for the Youth Ministry’s Girls annual Lock-in (Sleepover), 7th–12th grade girls are invited to come participate on Friday, October 11th at 6:00 pm, through Saturday, October 12th at 9:30 am, for a time of fellowship, worship and the Word. The cost is $15 per person, includes dinner and breakfast. Sign-ups are being taken in the Front Office or online. Please direct inquiries to Pastor Diego Festa.

Thanksgiving Basket Ministry

We are preparing Baskets to present to families in need. If you would like to be a part of the preparation process you can sign up yourself or your family in the Front Office until October 20th. This group will begin meeting for prayer and preparation weekly, starting October 13th at 5:00 pm. We are currently collecting food donations for the baskets. Lists of food items are available in the Front Office or online. If you would like to recommend a family to receive a basket, you will also be volunteering yourself to deliver the basket. Signing up families will begin 10/20, all baskets will be picked up for delivery 11/24. If you have questions, please see Pastor Tony Scotti for details.

Simple Truths Conference – 

"The Importance & Priority of Prayer"

Join us as we gather in the name of the Lord for our annual Simple Truths Conference. Saturday October 19th, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

We will be searching the scriptures concerning “The Importance & Priority of Prayer.” Our speakers will be Pastor Terry Hlebo from Calvary Chapel Rialto, and Pastors Xavier Ries and Tony Scotti from Calvary Chapel Pasadena. There is an optional lunch, catered by ‘The Habit Burger Grill’ for the cost of $15 per person. Tickets are available in the church office, on the church app,

Prayer Ministry

The Prayer Ministry will be holding their monthly meeting on Sunday, October 20th at 1:30 pm, in the Sanctuary. The meeting is for all those currently involved. If you are interested in getting involved, please direct questions to Pastor Mario Alvarez.

Love Life Prayer Walk

Calvary Chapel Pasadena is joining Love Life Prayer Walk to pray at abortion clinics on Saturday, October 26th at 9:00 am. We will be meeting at the parking lot located at: 735 S. La Verne Ave. in Los Angeles, 90022. Please direct questions to Pastor Mario Alvarez.

Men’s Ministry Bible Study

The Men's Bible study meets weekly at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Join with the men of the church as we continue our detailed look into the minor prophets. This season we will begin with the book of Micah. We will continue in Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zachariah, and we will conclude the session at the close of April in the book of Malachi. Please join us on Tuesday nights. Childcare is provided.

Women’s Ministry Bible Study

The Women’s Bible study meets weekly on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary. Please join us for an in-depth look at God’s Word, as we are studying through the book of Romans. The study guide is available to purchase in the Bookstore. You must be 16 years old or older to attend. Childcare is provided.

Baptism

On Sunday, October 27th after the second service at 1:30 pm, we’ll be having a Baptism.

We encourage those who have given their lives

to Christ to make this public confession of faith. Please dress modestly; bring a towel and a change of clothes. No sign-ups necessary. Children 11 years old and under please see

Hallelujah Night

We invite you to come out and enjoy a safe alternative to Halloween on Thursday, October 31st from 6:00-9:00 pm. It’s a FREE event loaded with games, bouncers, and food, but more importantly it’s an opportunity to share the love of Jesus Christ to our community, friends and loved ones. Marriage Ministry

The Marriage Fellowship is meeting for biblical instruction and fellowship for our marriages on Saturday, October 26th. We are continuing in this year’s theme “Homeland Security.” Protecting Marriage and the Family, focusing on biblical truths that will protect our marriages from the threats we face from the world, the flesh, and the enemy. The topic for the month of October is “Commitment to the Cause”. Our text will be Psalm 127. 

We are also having a special potluck theme- Breakfast For Dinner. Bring your favorite breakfast dish to share with the other married couples. Childcare is not provided. We want this to be a special evening for just you and your spouse.
