Friends of the Farm-

Happy Friday and welcome back to another week of Live Oak Farm CSA...

It's Bastille Day. Celebrate with some fresh haricots (beans) and Tour de France coverage.

It's going to stay hot, so a refreshing farm Collins is in order for our featured recipe this week. When I smelled the aromatics of the Lemon Thyme during our harvest this week, I knew it needed a cocktail.

I also recommend this featured herb with roast or grilled fish, shrimp, or as an ingredient in a cold quinoa salad, or compliment to warm jasmine rice.

All of our Live Oak summer dinners - Dinner with Your Farmer Series are now LIVE in their ticketing. See below for flyers with link to more info and tickets. We've got some great partners this year and would love to share a meal with you and our community. Book your seat today.

Lastly, we welcome you to enjoy our weekly music playlist.

A fun track featured this week is Vulfpeck's, All That's Left of Me is You. I love the opening line "I'm just a piece of food, Left in the midday sun". Being out harvesting and tending to our summer veggies, I can relate to the feeling. Jain gives us Makeba, followed by Miriam Makeba's Saduva, the South African artist for whom the song is named in respect of. A healthy dose of reggae and Groove Armada's, At the River also have peak summer in mind for your weekend mood. Lastly, in honor of Dead & Co. bringing it home for a weekend of final run dates in San Francisco, the playlist goes out to a 1989 edition of Althea. Enjoy!

All our best from the farm,

Tom & William and Live Oak Farm team

Save the dates!

If you've attended these dinners in the past you know how much fun a night at the farm is highlighted by hyper-seasonal produce and the creativity of guest chefs.

We're proud to announce two new dinners that highlight local culinary programs from restaurants here in Sonoma County, Street Social and Bloom (Petaluma & Sonoma, respectively). We can't wait to share our farm's summer harvest with our guests as well as raise a glass in community with some really great wine partners by way of Darling Wines and Kivelstadt Cellars as well.

Tickets are available and going quickly to both our upcoming farm dinners. Reserve your seat today!
